About Me

If you told high school me that current me would be voice actor and live streamer, she wouldn't believe you (well, at least not immediately).I was pretty self-conscious of being heard when I was younger, in situations such as singing in front of others and the commonly dreaded public speaking. I was not a fan of having everyone's attention on me. (This is still true to some extent).I thought I knew what I wanted to do as a career. By the time I graduated high school, I was pretty set on becoming a materials science engineer. I would specialize working with glass and work for a company like Corning.I lasted two weeks as an engineering major at the University of Pittsburgh, and ended up graduating with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a minor in Korean. After a gap year, I started a Master's program for Occupational Therapy, but withdrew after the first year.I started a podcast in February 2021 (inspired by Emirichu's Childhood Crushes videos on YouTube). I named my podcast Sharon Stuff and initially talked about any of my interests. I later narrowed down the focus to videogames and anime. Around this time, I was playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I thought the voice cast was amazing and started to become curious about voice acting.I enrolled in my first voice acting class a few months later (VA101 with The Voice School, now known as Closing Credits), not because I had decided to become a voice actor, but to improve my podcast and myself. I thought it'd be a fun and interesting way to do so. I wanted to be more comfortable being heard and to be able to better connect with my audience. Taking a class also satisfied my curiosity of industry. It was a win-win-win. I didn't decide to pursue voice acting until completing the class.I started live streaming in June 2023 and have been enjoying it thus far. I love how I can show people the videogames that interest me. By this point, producing podcast episodes wasn't for me anymore. Although, I am always up for being a guest on others' shows.
